A Concert with the Acacia Quartet
Saturday June 30 at 7.30pm
Acacia Quartet has the pleasure of being able to present another program of viola quintets with international viola soloist Emile Cantor. The program will feature the Australian piece Boomi's Ray by Nick Wales, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's wonderful, but dark and melancholic String Quintet in G minor, K516 and Antonín Dvorák's String Quintet Op. 97 which he wrote during his famous summer vacation in Spillville, Iowa, just after his famous American quartet.
'Engaging and gripping from the outset. Broad, beautiful shifts of texture or successive textural complexities and string effects in the various modern works were also clearly demonstrated ' -Sydney Arts Guide
